Construction Sponsorship :- Suitable for Companies and Organisations.
Swan Pen - The swan pens we have planned are concrete based with wood and net sidings, each with their own individual pool. We plan to have at least 10 of these and we already have a concrete base on which to build, which will cut down the costs.
The estimated cost of each enclosure is £500, and the sponsors name and details will be engraved on a plaque and built into the structure.

Fox/Badger Pen - Larger than the swan pens and without pools, the floors will be concrete with a removable covering of soil and a den or sett to ensure the animal feels comfortable, the siding will be chainlink fencing and wood. These will be constructed away from public view but a plaque erected in public view around the main pond. The estimated cost of these enclosures is £700. The life span of the swan and fox pens, due to the construction type, we estimate to be well over 10 years.

Hedgehog Gardens - We plan four of these around the old Go-Kart track and we will allocate them to local schools to build and manage. We’ll help with the manual labour but basically leave it to the young imaginations of school children. We’ll provide recuperating hedgehogs and look after their basic needs. The idea being that we should end up with four different designs for environmental and nature friendly gardens for visitors to the centre to emulate. If you work in or attend a school within traveling distance of our centre please contact us for more information.  There is no sponsorship cost for these projects but we expect the children involved to raise the funds for anything they need or want to include themselves.

Recuperation Aviaries - These will be built in sets of two, with a free-flight section between each pen. Again for hygiene purposes we will have concrete flooring and wood and netting sides. Depending on the inhabitants the concrete will be covered with a natural substrate such as pebble, woodchip or soil. Each ‘Set’ will cost approximately £700 to construct - you can choose to sponsor one of the pens for £350 - Each pen will have an individual plaque with the sponsors details.

Release Pond - This is going to be a major project and hopefully we should get part funding towards the total cost. The estimated cost is about £15,000 but if you are a construction company with access to your own plant machinery and workforce and you would like to undertake the digging task for us, we would be grateful and erect the sponsorship plaque in your company name. The pond only needs to be 3 to 4ft deep A few days with a JCB or earth mover making the hole in the ground, would enable us to line and landscape it ourselves.

Emergency Oil Cleaning Station - Another major project with an estimated cost of £10,000. We intend to fit out one of our old kennel blocks with about 20 large sinks, hot water and large pens, which we will be able to use for cleaning dogs that need a good bath before being re-homed. But within a few minutes this unit can but ready for use and manned by volunteers to clean birds and mammals affected by an oil spill.  We’ve been very lucky in Northern Ireland for many years and have only had to cope with minor spills on inland waterways. Should a major oil spill occur there are currently NO facilities that can cope with the number of birds and mammals that would need treatment.  Combined with the pens and enclosures that we would have at our disposal this this would be a major asset to Northern Ireland. We really hope that sponsoring this building would be a waste of money, in the sense that it never needs to be used. But any company willing to undertake this would be presenting a very positive image of their commitment to the environment.

Rehabilitation Pens - We already have four pens for rehabilitation of waterfowl but the annual maintenance on these is quite high, they need to be drained and cleaned and re-seeded a couple of times a year. £300 a year would maintain the actual enclosures. Sponsorship plaques here would be highly visible with these pens being on the main paved area for visitors.

If you or your company would like to sponsor any of these projects, or even just make a donation please feel free to contact use and even arrange a visit to the site. In addition to plaques on site, all sponsors will receive a certificate, an annual report and some photographs of the animals that have used their enclosure.
